Some time ago, I bought myself a copy of Write Ambition software. While not completely user friendly at the onset, it does help to make hard copies of the instruction process.

Eventually it makes sense and guides you through each stage. Eventually it starts to make sense when planning and beginning the process.

Also another software is New Novelist which can be applied to writing screenplays. I am saving up for its latest edition
